About the Author
Chuck Green has spent much of his life traveling and residing in foreign countries. Raised in Southern California he prowled Mexican border towns even as a teenager before joining the U.S. Air Force at age seventeen. During the six years he served in the Air Force he was stationed at the Air Force Academy in Colorado and did tours of duty in Alaska and in Europe.
Soon becoming bored with a business career in accounting after his discharge Chuck tried his hand at being a professional blackjack player in Las Vegas, worked as a photographer for five years in Guadalajara, México in the late ‘70’s, as a buckaroo on a cattle ranch in Idaho in the early ‘80’s and as a professional horserace handicapper and bettor in Northern Nevada a few years later. He has trekked the Nepal Himalaya, explored the bars of Bangkok, the beaches of Pattaya, Thailand and the nightlife of Bogotá and Cali in Colombia.
Returning to financial management in 1988 Chuck was a senior financial accountant and analyst with a Nevada municipality for 10 years until he retired early and returned to México in 1998. After five years based in Oaxaca, playing tennis and traveling extensively throughout México and Central America, Chuck moved to Costa Rica and spent all of 2004 in the city of San José actively participating in the “hobby” and gathering material for this book.
This is Chuck’s third book. The others, “A Winning Blackjack Strategy for the ‘80’s” and “Double Action Dice Strategies” were published in 1982. He is presently residing in Southern Arizona, not far from the Mexican border, playing tennis, shooting his Glocks in practical pistol matches and planning his next adventure. |
